The history of the former Strnišče is the history of a young settlement, whose beginnings date back to the last decades of the last century. Its future was decisively influenced by two great human tragedies, the First and Second World War. Right here, the First World War set one of its sad monuments — the burial site of hundred soldiers, mostly of Slavic nationality, who died in the barracks of military hospitals of the Austro-Hungarian army in the middle of the forests of Strnišče.

The path is dedicated to the memory of the turbulent past of concentration camps in that area. The newly created place of Strnišče, now called Kidričevo, tells this whole story, with a modern approach.
